Letter: Democratic voters should support Bob Pund for state representative

I urge Democratic primary voters to support Bob Pund in the race for Missouri state representative in the 25th District. He’s a hard worker and an excellent listener. He’s been recognized statewide for his advocacy on behalf of people who need better health care. He is bright, personable and outgoing.

Bob would also bring a remarkable and important perspective to the legislature as someone who has a personal familiarity with what happens to people who need health care when Gov. Blunt and his allies eliminate or cut crucially important health care programs. He has also expanded his knowledge and expertise regarding a variety of other important statewide issues, including transportation, land use policy and energy policy.

Bob lives modestly and has been paralyzed from the chest down since he was a teenager. Yet he has earned a college degree, holds down a job and is committed to helping make our community and state a better place for everyone to live. He is ready, willing and more than able to become an effective member of the Missouri legislature. Let’s give him the opportunity.
