Crosscreek Center development hearing postponed

Thursday, June 5, 2008 | 10:14 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — The Columbia Planning and Zoning Commission delayed a public hearing Thursday night concerning two site plans for Crosscreek Center.

One development plan for the center would allow for a 3,200-square-foot Taco Bell restaurant to be located on the north side of the extended Stadium Boulevard east of U.S. 63. The other plan would allow for a 3,750-square-foot convenience store with gas pumps to be located on the south side of the same area.

City-recognized neighborhood associations affected by the plans include the Shepherd Boulevard, Timber Hill Road, Moon Valley Heights and Bluff Creek Estates associations.

The delay was in response to a late-afternoon request from the developers. The hearing has been rescheduled for the next Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on June 19.
