COLUMBIA — The “Art of it All” Carnival and Circus will continue the celebration of the grand re-opening of the Missouri Theatre on Saturday. The carnival, starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m., will take place outside the theater on Ninth Street. A portion of the street, between the intersections of Locust and Elm, will be closed all day.

Admission to the carnival is free, and tickets for the rides and games can be purchased for 25 cents apiece, five for a $1, or 30 for $5. Occupying Ninth Street will be 1920s-themed games including a mini Ferris wheel, dunking booth and hammer slam, according to Kanani May, Missouri Theatre’s director of marketing and public relations. Classic foods including popcorn, peanuts, snow cones and cotton candy will be available, and a caricature artist and outdoor stage will provide entertainment.
