Jimmy Gale Pauley

COLUMBIA — Jimmy Gale Pauley, of Ashland, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at his home. He was 76.
Mr. Pauley was born June 16, 1932, to Lloyd A. Pauley and AnnaBelle (Riley) Pauley.
He married Peggy Lou Rice in July 1959 in Jefferson City. She died in September 1971. He married Adele Windsor on Oct. 20, 1972, in Ashland.
Mr. Pauley served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He served as 24th District representative for the state House of Representatives for 14 years.
He was a member of Ashland Baptist Church and a deacon. He was a member of the Ashland American Legion Post No. 135, a member of the Scottish Rite No. 32 and a member of Ashland Masonic Lodge No. 138 and served as worshipful master.
He was a member of Moohlah Temple in St. Louis and a member of the Ashland Optimist Club.
His family owned and operated Pauley’s Grocery Store and Pauley’s Hardware Store.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Mark Pauley of Jefferson City; two daughters, Starla Pauley and Carla Garrett of Ashland; one sister, Sylvia Jean Walker of Columbia; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ashland Baptist Church, 203 E. Broadway, in Ashland. Services will be held at 10 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Ashland Baptist Church building fund.
