With thirsty fingers, Jess Blumensheid seeks vibrant stories from the tightest corners. As a third-year Magazine Journalism student at MU’s School of Journalism, she strives to write stories that unmask the unique complexity of ordinary people. In summer 2008, Blumensheid worked at Chicago’s Venus Zine as an editorial intern. She also contributes weekly to the online music blog Invisible Oranges, writing music reviews, interviews and small features. She enjoys music, road trips and funky glasses.
